Our Method

Ministry Mission

At Sacra Script ministries, educational philosophy and methodology is at the forefront of our minds in the design of our Bible studies. We believe that it matters how information is presented and processed in the mind of the student, and we desire to make our materials educationally stimulating, organized, and meaningful. We have researched the best educational practices and philosophies and looked at them through the lens of Christian theology. We have studied the Scriptures to help us understand how God teaches us and how we learn best from Him. Jesus taught using objects, humor, and plays on words that shook things up for His students. Ultimately, Jesus, as the master teacher, used short stories in the form of parables as his primary teaching tool. It is our desire to pattern our methodology after Him. Since God has created us with five senses in which to experience the world, we strive to incorporate full-sensory activities into our Bible studies, enabling students to understand the material better, process it more efficiently, and retain information longer. Understanding God, loving God, and experiencing God, through His Word and by the work of the Holy Spirit transforms us towards His Son. We encourage our students to use all of their faculties in the learning process, thus engaging in active learning.

We present the information in a visually appealing way, using language that is clear and comprehensible to the average reader. We provide different activities and questions for students to do individually or in a small group to reinforce the content of the lesson. The discoveries sections have been created to appeal to all three learning styles: visual, auditory and kinesthetic (learning by doing). This section has more than enough questions and exercises and is adaptable to the needs of the individual or group. This ensures that our studies are tailored to fit the needs of many different learning contexts. The activities in our discoveries section are based on considerations such as learning styles, critical thinking levels and the personal transformation of the heart.
